Preparation of Quality Planting Material<\/strong><\/p>\n

NMPB has allotted the center a target of production of quality planting material of one lakh plants of medicinal plants species, s<\/strong>pecific to Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh.\u00a0 This target has in turn been allotted to the State Forest Research Institute, Jabalpur. Preparations for raising this planting stock have already been initiated. It is expected that about 50,000 plants will be ready by the end of June 2026 for planting in the rainy season. The remaining target will be achieved by June 2027.\u00a0\u00a0 It is planned to supply the planting stock of tree species, especially those belonging to RET categories, to the state forest departments of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh for enrichment planting in forest areas under the ongoing plantation schemes. \u00a0Requests for the same may be sent in advance to the DRS, JNKVV, Jabalpur.<\/p>\n

It is also intended to make the planting stock of commercially important high demand species available to the cultivators who are interested in agri-cultivation of these species. The interested cultivators may contact the RCFC.<\/p>\n
